Meet Julie
Hi, neighbors! Some of you already know me from our personal connections or our social media interactions. For those who don’t, let me introduce myself. I'm a proud Kentuckian, born and raised in Owensboro, but for more than 20 years, I've called Hardin County my home.
I'm a 47-year-old Christian, wife of 22 years, and the proud mother of three incredible kids, along with the sweetest little dog you've ever seen. Our family is the quintessential all-American household. My husband, Tim, has been a dedicated Medical Service Engineer for 25 years. Our oldest son works at a local community kitchen serving the needy. Our oldest daughter is both a student at ECTC and part-time retail worker. Our youngest is a sophomore at John Hardin High School, proudly representing the marching band. Go BULLDOGS!
As for me, life's twists and turns have led me down unexpected paths. At age four, when our son faced seizures resistant to traditional treatments, my journey into advocacy began. Seeking alternatives, we discovered solace in cannabis oil. This personal experience fueled my advocacy efforts, leading to the co-founding of a statewide nonprofit geared towards medical cannabis education and helping Kentucky patients have safe and legal access to natural cannabis medication.
Now, serving on two state committees and recognized as a Kentucky Colonel for my advocacy efforts in medical cannabis, I continue to be inspired by my mother's recent battle with brain cancer. This unplanned journey has since become my calling for public service.
Running for State Representative, I aspire to bring a community-rooted perspective—focusing on compassion, unity, fair representation, personal freedoms, fiscal responsibility, and family values. Acknowledging diverse opinions, I am committed to being an accessible representative, collaborating with all constituents.
Having faced personal challenges, such as drug abuse/addiction, financial strains and family health scares, I empathize with the struggles of everyday, hardworking citizens. While I won’t claim to fix everything, I promise to work tirelessly for you and positive changes for our district. Your voice matters, and together, we can make a difference. Let's connect, share concerns, and engage in meaningful conversations. I look forward to hearing from you and working together for the betterment of District 10.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with any questions and concerns you may have.
